Initial Consultation

Schedule a free initial consultation to find the right therapist for you.

1. Understand the therapy process and expectations

2. Experience what a potential therapy session is like

3. Get your questions answered

4. Brief assessment for â€‹you to get matched with the right therapist.

Please keep in mind that a consultation is not therapy.

Additional Consultations

We offer one free initial consultation to help clients get matched with the right therapist. Additional consultations, to include client consultation and parent consultation, will incur a fee when they are scheduled outside of the standard session.

Preparing for a Consultation

01. Available

Schedule at a time when you are available and free of distractions. Treat it as if it were a therapy session (thought it's not) no matter how long or short it is.

02. Time Management

Consultations can often feel short no matter the length as there is so much to be covered. Be intentional about the questions asked and information shared.

03.  First Impression

Track your first impression of the therapist or practice. Rather it's information someone shared or that you read online, compare this with your direct experience.

Always cancel a consultation  that is no longer needed

04. Take Notes

Chances are you will be meeting with a number of therapists. Be prepared to take notes on the information provided, location, session availability, fees, connection, etc.

05. Trust Yourself

Have realistic expectations and stick to them as you consult with providers. Don't make a decision hastily but also notice yourself resisting. Give yourself time to process.
