Therapy Intensives
Therapy intensives allow for extended, focused work. No more inching toward progress in traditional therapy sessions. Take a day or two to gain real momentum toward change. Our therapists can help with the following:
-
Trauma
-
Relational Conflict
-
Identity Exploration
-
Grief
-
Life Transitions
-
Listed are some of the approaches that are used in therapy intensives. This is not all inclusive and our therapists integrate several approaches to create a customize experience for you.
1
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR is all about reprocessing events and beliefs through bilateral stimulation allowing your brain to do all the work. Reprocessing the events and beliefs allow you to release the negative outlook on your experience which decreases the disturbance and distress it has in your life. This is a great approach for those that do not wish to talk about their stresses in detail. However, for those who do like to talk things out more, this integrates well with other approaches.
2
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Emotionally focused therapy is an evidenced-based approach that helps couples identify and shift their negative interaction patterns. Individuals gain deeper access to their core emotions to better understand their needs and behaviors. Partners then become more equipped to de-escalate negative interactions and move toward connection.
