Therapy for Individuals, Couples, and Families
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Missouri and Michigan, providing culturally attuned, LGBTQ+ and queer-affirming therapy for adolescents and teens (ages 12-18), adults, couples, and families. I see clients residing in Missouri or Michigan online (telehealth), and Missouri residents in person in Independence, MO. I work with:
-
Anxiety and depression
-
Couples therapy for relationship dissatisfaction and improvement
-
Parent-child conflict
-
Co-parenting challenges
-
Emotional regulation difficulties
-
Life transitions
I take a relational approach, which means I examine how your relationships and experiences shape what you’re going through. Together, we will build self-awareness, strengthen your connections, and learn practical tools to repair relationships that matter to you.
Therapy Approach:
Emotionally Focused Therapy – Helps you understand the emotions driving your patterns or connection so you can respond differently to loved ones.
Internal Family Systems – A compassionate way to understand different “parts” of you.
Contextual Family Therapy – A method for repairing trust and fairness in relationships.
Parent Management Training – Provides parents with concrete skills to reduce child behavioral issues and increase family functioning.
Session Fee:
Individual Sessions - $75
Couple or Family Sessions - $100
Fees listed are for private-pay and cover 50-minute sessions.
Sliding scale fees are available upon request.
I do not accept insurance.

Outside of Sessions
I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Missouri, where I teach and train graduate students to become MFTs. As a professor, I stay current with the latest research in couple and family therapy, and I supervise MFT interns as they prepare for full licensure.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading (thrillers and romance), listening to music, and playing games (sudoku, cards, puzzles, you name it!).
